Plan, design, and interpret conceptual, schematic, or bridging documents in the construction of HCBeck Ltd. projects. Duties include: Provide accurate quantity takeoffs and initial pricing for projects; Estimate Interior, Envelope, Site, Earthwork, Utilties and Structure Scopes of work; Organize and develop an estimate using Uniformat, Master Format (49 Divisions), and a Bid Tabulation; Develop and maintain project related documents, including, but not limited to site logistics, estimates and drawings/models, in a consistent, organized structure; Facilitate scheduling and lead times; Interact with subcontractors/vendors; Assist in the prequalification of subcontractors/vendors and management of the sub database; Execute overhead, fee, and insurance add-ons, and billable wage rates and benefits; Participate in client presentations; and Deliver preconstruction deliverable content including cost estimates, supporting detail and documentation, and graphics. May need to travel to unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.
2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation and experience or education in the following skills: Managing the bid process including assigning bid scope responsibilities, creating a project specific subcontractor list, issuing bid solicitations, taking and receiving subcontractor bids, thoroughly scoping subcontractor proposals, analyzing materials proposed vs. materials required by contract documents; Building Connected or Procore; REVIT; MS Office and Bluebeam; Reading and interpreting subcontractor proposals; Uniformat, Master Format (49 Divisions), and CSI classifications; and Timberline, MC2, or Estimator.
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Construction Sciences, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
