Job Title: Water Mitigation Technician

Location: Jacksonville, NC

N Tier Disaster Recovery Solutions (NTDRS) is seeking a Water Mitigation Technician in the Jacksonville, North Carolina. NTDRS is a full-service mitigation, restoration, reconstruction, and new construction company. We are an authorized and approved vendor with all the major insurance companies who send us their insurance property claims as well as the top three third-party vendors. The Mitigation Technician plays a vital role in minimizing damage caused by water leaks, floods, or other water-related incidents.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Follow project plans and instructions from the General/Project Manager

• Load, unload, and correctly set up equipment at the job site

• May require going under a house to pull out insulation and set up necessary equipment

• Assess the extent of water damage, remove standing water, dry and dehumidify affected areas, and prevent mold growth

• Use specialized equipment such as moisture meters, air movers, dehumidifier, pumps/extractors

• Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is operational, and report loss or damage

• Take before-and-after photos of jobs with accurate labels for documentation purposes

• Wear appropriate protective equipment and follow guidelines to ensure a safe environment

• Keep work areas neat, safe, and organized

• Report any issues or concerns promptly

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must have experience in water damage restoration

• IICRC WRT certification would be nice to show industry experience but not required

• Experience in carpentry, drywalling, flooring, roofing, or painting is an advantage

• Ability to perform tasks that may include lifting up to 70 pounds, climbing ladders, and working at heights and in confined spaces

• Skilled in using hand and power tools, and mitigation/restoration equipment

• Familiarity with DASH or MICA software

• Proficient in taking basic measurements and calculations

• Able to read and interpret blueprints

• Knowledge of project management is helpful

• Able to work independently and in a team

• Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and safety-oriented

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Willing to respond to on-call assignments as needed

• Has a valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle

• Able to pass a background check and drug screen
