Project Executive – Commercial Construction Location: Columbus, OH Salary: $135,000 – $165,000 base + performance bonus + profit sharing + ownership opportunity The Opportunity Our client, a respected and growing General Contractor with a strong footprint across Central Ohio, is seeking a Project Executive to help lead their commercial construction operations.

This position is suited for a proven leader who values collaboration, enjoys developing teams, and wants to play a meaningful role in both project delivery and organizational growth.

The company is open to high-performing Senior Project Managers ready to step into an executive-level role, offering a clear path for career progression.

You will provide oversight across multiple projects while driving consistency and operational excellence throughout a diverse portfolio that includes K-12, higher education, commercial, retail, public/civic, and community-focused work.

Project sizes vary, creating opportunities to influence both large, complex builds and high-profile local projects.

What You’ll Do:Provide executive oversight across multiple projects from preconstruction through closeoutLead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teamsPartner with preconstruction to support pursuit strategy, budgeting, and client presentationsMaintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and trade partnersDrive project performance related to schedule, budget, safety, and qualitySupport strategic planning and help position the business for continued growthFoster a positive, accountable, team-first culture What We’re Looking For:10+ years of commercial construction experience with progressive leadership responsibilityBackground managing multiple projects and guiding teams simultaneouslyStrong operational and financial acumenProven ability to develop people and build high-performing teamsClient-facing presence with excellent communication skillsExperience across diverse commercial project types preferred Ideal Profile: A Senior Project Manager ready for the next step — or an emerging executive who wants a larger voice within an organization and a clear runway for advancement.
