Summary Qualified candidates for this position will have experience with electrical assemblies, soldering, or cable assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follows assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and required parts; gathering parts, tools, and materials.
Perform a wide variety of hand, bench, and simple machine operations to prepare and/or assemble connectors and related units following established methods and procedures.
Perform stock handling duties as required to identify and issue supplies, parts, and other items for departmental usage Perform simple drilling, milling, threading, taping, soldering, brazing assembly following established practice and/or specific instructions Visually check parts and assemblies for burrs or other disqualifying elements and make routine repairs as necessary Detect and report defective material, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to supervisor Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed assemblies.
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.\n\nQualifications/Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time Strong organizational skills.
