SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are looking for the Purchasing Executive who needs to manage and execute operational purchasing tasks as delegated by the Purchasing Manager in line with Group Purchasing (GP) policies, principles, guidelines, and procedures for Raw Material (RM), Purchased Finished Goods (PFG), and Direct Packaging Material (DPM) in close cooperation with local stakeholders and GP, enabling the company to achieve the desired delivery service to the customers.

This position will be based in Yangon and direct reporting to Senior Executive, Demand planning and Purchasing.

Responsibilities:

Participate in the planning process in close cooperation with internal stakeholders.

Communicate with GP category managers regarding RM, PFG, and DPM requirements, supplier performance, shortages, non-conformances, etc., for designated categories in line with given guidelines and procedures.

Assist Supply Chain Manager and Snr Purchasing Executive in evaluating optimal logistics solution, considering packaging type and size, lot size, use of distributors, transport, import process, local customs declaration, import permit application, chemical license application and catch up to update government trade regulations etc., for all RMs/PMs/FGs and communicate the findings to relevant GP Category Managers.

Support GP Category Managers in identifying potential local suppliers and maintaining existing relationships for designated categories (including supplier audits and participation in supplier meetings on request from GP Category Managers)

Ensuring that supplier invoice control is carried out in line with company guidelines, relevant customs regulations and procedures are followed and facilitated and all supplier invoices are paid within the due date for designated suppliers/categories.

Handling to import process under general trade terms from several oversea countries and logistics arrangement

Coordinate closely with the demand planner to align purchasing plans with production forecasts and inventory requirements

Working closely with the Demand Planning,Customer Services team, Production Team, Warehouse team to accurate planning and uninterpreted supply

Managing suppliers/vendors relationship, negotiating and performance evaluation

Supporting team work, cooperation with cross functional team and continuous improvement initiatives

Follow up and report to Supply Chain Manager as weekly/monthly and analysis report

Qualifications

Bachelor of degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management and then LCCI or other business administration skill advantage.

Minimum 3 years experience of related RM purchasing, supply chain and import function.

Good understanding and customs declaration procedure and impot license application and governmental regulatory compliance.

Effective communication and negotiation skills are crucial and English proficiency is a must.

Advance excel, including data analysis and familiar with ERP/SAP system
