Position Summary This position functions as a Civil Engineer within the Southwest Region's Project Development Section and is responsible for the oversight and delivery of Local Program.

The duties and responsibilities require performing the highest degree of independent discretion and judgement on transportation improvement projects for local programs.

This position manages activities on multiple projects including those of a highly complex nature for continuity in both design and construction phases.

The role of the Local Program Project Manager is to oversee and manage the activities carried out by department and consultant staff and ensures all requirements to utilize federal funds are followed in the design phase.

The cumulative consequences of error are significant since this position is responsible for as many as 200 active local program projects that have a direct effect on the Region's performance measures.

this position serves as a resource and advisor to managers, supervisors, department and consultant staff.

Salary Information This position is in schedule-range 14-13 with an annual salary of $92,768 - $112,236, plus excellent benefits.

A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
