Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Summary
The Quality Engineer ensures that products consistently meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance. By analyzing data, leading quality initiatives for new products, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams, this role drives continuous improvement across manufacturing and field operations. The Quality Engineer plays a key role in reducing defects, improving processes, and supporting customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Work Hours (Shift)
Weekdays 6:30am-3pm
Pay (Hourly or Annual Salary)
$31/hr. - $34/hr.
Responsibilities
Support production by applying data-driven problem-solving, defect reduction, and process capability analysis.
Lead quality activities during new product introductions, including planning, risk assessment, and validation for smooth manufacturing transitions.
Manage supplier quality through audits, evaluation of incoming materials, and corrective action implementation.
Analyze warranty and service data to identify systemic issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards using quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and maintain consistent product quality.
Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management tools.
Proficiency with quality tools, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving methods.
Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
Experience working with ERP systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field required.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
Certifications such as CQE, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing are preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment.
Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting as required to support production and supplier activities.
