We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Construction Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the construction industry and be proficient in Sage Intacct. This position involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance, while supporting key reporting and closing processes. MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION BOOKKEEPING/ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities:
Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely entries
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis
Record and post journal entries and financial adjustments as needed
Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure financial data integrity
Contribute to the successful completion of month-end and year-end closing tasks
Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with GAAP standards
Partner with project managers to monitor job costs, billing activities, and profitability tracking
Keep thorough documentation of all financial transactions for internal records and audits
Prepare for audits by organizing and providing supporting documentation when requested
Use Sage Intacct extensively for all accounting functions and report generation
Qualifications:
At least 3+ years of CONSTRUCTION accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a construction setting
Sage Intacct experience is mandatory
Solid understanding of AP/AR, account reconciliations, and journal entries
Familiarity with construction job costing is highly preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
