As a Sr.
CICS Systems Programmer, you will be part of the IT Operations Department supporting the Application Support Team.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Sr.
CICS Systems Programmer **Location:** Remote **Pay Range:** $80/hr W2 Duration: 12+ months **What's the Job?** + Configure and maintain CICS system software across multiple environments, including production, test, and Q/A.
+ Customize and support IBM and ISV software products related to CICS, utilizing tools like CPSM and Omegamon.
+ Provide 24/7 support for CICS-dependent applications, analyzing logs, traces, dumps, and traps to resolve issues promptly.
+ Collaborate with technical teams and external support to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
+ Apply performance management techniques to monitor and optimize high-volume transaction environments, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
**What's Needed?** + 8+ years of experience supporting CICS environments within the insurance or mutual fund industry.
+ Proficiency in programming languages such as Assembler and Rexx is a plus.
+ Strong analytical skills for performance analysis and real-time problem resolution.
+ Experience with performance management tools and techniques to optimize system response times.
+ Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support personnel.
