Responsible for assisting BCBAs & SLPs on the team with implementing plan of care for patients and caregivers at the Center for Pediatric Feeding Disorders.
Coordinates behavioral treatment plans under direct guidance of BCBAs with team members & caregivers.
Supports hospital's mission to provide the highest quality care by complying with regulatory guidelines and meeting agency standards.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Demonstrates competency in the skills required by the facility on at least a bi-annual basis.
* Collaborates with team members from Behavior, Speech, Nutrition, and Medicine, to assist formulating and implementing plan of care.
* Assists SLPs & BCBAs with baselines by collecting data and reporting the outcomes.
* Assists BCBA with conducting behavioral assessments for non-feeding behaviors as needed.
* Conducts caregiver training in feeding protocols/child behavioral management within BTscope of practice under direct supervision of BCBA.
* Conducts fidelity checks of treatment implementation.
* Analyzes personal, social, and environmental conditions to better understand the variables that are influencing behavior.
* Conducts behavioral observations, reinforcer assessments, and caregiver interviews and reports data to BCBA.
* Assists clinicians with training caregivers in treatment protocols prior to discharge from Feeding Program.
* Provides consultation services to school, daycare, and extended family regarding the behavior management program that has been established under direct guidance of BCBA.
* Completes documentation in a timely manner.
* Consults daily with BCBAs & SLPs concerning treatment protocols & plan of care needs.
* Assists with orienting and training new staff to Feeding Program in behavioral principles.
* Attends team conferences, team meetings, in-services, and department meetings.
* Attends post discharge clinic evaluations and contributes to team report.
* Provides consultation with Community based therapists relating to clinic patients and discharged Day patients.
* Assists with all behavioral outcome data and reports information to Program Supervisor.
* Assists with response blocking procedures as necessary.
* Supports SLPs & caregivers with generalization meals.
* Assists with preparing admission/discharge necessities for patients.
* Assists with audio/visual transfer of training videos to caregivers NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES 22.
Cooperates and consults with appropriate staff to provide staff education when requested.
23.Participates in the quality improvement program of the facility.
24.Participates in research projects as available.
Formal education required: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
RBT certification required Previous experience required: Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric setting Previous experience required: Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric setting
