Qualifications: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

Overview: Full-time Speech Language Pathology (SLP) position. SLP will provide speech therapy services to identified students in accordance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals; provides services to students with specialized needs; perform a variety of duties in support of student case management services; and perform a variety of duties related to assigned area of responsibility. The SLP will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, students, families, and school/community professionals to best support students.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide student speech therapy services according to Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plan.

Assessment of student speech and language skills.

Participate in the multi-disciplinary team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Response to Instruction (RTI) plans.

Confer with teachers and parents regarding student progress.

Communicates with staff and families in the development of oral and functional communication skills.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information

Provide assistance to staff through consultation, training and individual and group activities.

Support Assistive Technology and Augmentative and Alternative Communication training and implementation to students, teachers, and parents.

Document student progress toward IEP goals and perform a variety of clerical support duties such as maintaining objectives, preparing charts, records, graphs, or other means of documentation.

Complete Medicaid billing documentation and weekly claims.

Consult with and advise educators and medical staff on speech or hearing topics such as communication strategies and speech and language stimulation.

Prepare therapy materials and/or equipment for use in classroom and therapy activities.

Complete annual hearing screenings following state guidelines.

Adapt or modify instructional materials and/or equipment for teacher use in the classroom, as determined by students' needs and abilities.

Maintain and manage Special Education compliance including IEP development, implementation and Case Conference procedures.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
