Description Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time Coder position.

This position is not remote and is located at our Kaysville Business Office.

Essential Job Responsibilities: * Responsible for maintaining coding compliance for multi-specialty clinic.

* Audit procedure and diagnostic codes for accuracy, detail and comprehensive description of clinical procedures * Responsible for maintaining current ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and coding skills * Use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and e-mail * Ability to interpret and apply Medicare (CCI) and payer edits * Other duties as assigned Requirements Education: * High School diploma required * Certified Professional Coder is required Experience: * Coding experience preferred Other Requirements: * Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology * Must have strong knowledge of computer and other office equipment Performance Requirements: Knowledge: * Knowledge of billing practices and clinic policies and procedures * Knowledge of coding and clinic operating policies Skills: * Proficient skills in computer programs Abilities: * Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations * Ability to read and interpret medical charts * Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness * Ability to communicate effectively and work with others Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted office environment.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
