Get to Know Your Team: * UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City.
Responsibilities * Performs CT studies/ procedures for patients of all ages (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric) utilizing ionizing radiation and treatment of disease.
* Functions under the general supervision of the CT supervisor and in cooperation with the radiologists.
* This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.
Qualifications Job Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Associate degree in Radiography from an accredited college.
* Upon completion of an accredited radiology program, the employee will have 90 days to become ARRT registered and licensed through the Texas Medical Board.
* BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements: * 2 years as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.
* CT experience.
