General Responsibilities General Statement of Duties: The successful candidate will have theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on ability in various shipboard engineering systems.
They would work in one of the following labs/classes: Internal Combustion Engines, Auxiliary Machinery, Steam Generation, Refrigeration, Machine Tools, Engineering Systems and Safety, CAD, or Electrical Machines.
Qualifications and Requirements Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or appropriate field * Minimum of three years of teaching experience or professional experience in a relevant discipline(s) * Have held an unlimited Second Assistant Engineer license or greater, or currently possess an active Third Assistant Engineer's license, and * Demonstrated work history, teaching, and practical experience in the subject concentration Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree from an accredited institution * Recent experience teaching or in professional service in the maritime field * Upper-level license How to Apply To Apply: Please submit the following documents: cover letter, resume, MMA application, and contact information of three (3) professional references.
