Title: Assistant Program Director, Monterey Cornerstone Community Center Reports to: Senior Program Director, Monterey Cornerstone Community Center Location: 2100 Monterey Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457 Hours: 35 Hours / Week; Non-Exempt Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 / year Job Summary: The Assistant Program Director at Monterey is responsible for assisting the Senior Program Director in the development and management of daily programming for the Monterey Cornerstone Community Center.
Major Duties: * Conduct overall leadership and implementation of After School programming.
* Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures.
* Plan, direct and supervise the Summer Camp Program * Supervise GSS Volunteers, Program Aides, Group Leaders and Youth Interns.
* Monitor attendance, complete reports and document and report all incidents.
* Work with the police department for program security and crisis intervention.
* Responsible for staff recruitment for the after school and summer programs.
* Oversee client referrals to other programs as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: * High School Diploma required.
Candidates with an Associates or higher in Education or Social Work are encouraged to apply.
* Three years experience in youth program supervision and/or administration.
* Experience in program development for youth.
* Must be able to engage in crisis-intervention activities and demonstrate, lead, and teach a range of group activities.
* Strong communication, organizational skills.

* Must have a commitment to work from a strength based and/or youth development perspective.
* Ability to work occasional weekends/late evenings.
