PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembler in Plymouth, MN for a 1-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This is an onsite production assembly position supporting electronic and electromechanical builds using drawings, work instructions, and standard hand/power tools.
Required Skills
High School Diploma and 2+ years of related assembly experience
Ability to read and follow engineering documentation, diagrams, and drawings
Experience using computers to log measurement/test data
Comfort performing repetitive and non-repetitive assembly work in a production environment
Ability to perform continuity checks, basic inspections, and rework as needed
Preferred Skills
Experience dispensing epoxy using Nordson EFD (or similar precision dispensing equipment)
Soldering skills; IPC J-STD-001 certification preferred
Prior manufacturing experience in medical device and/or aerospace environments
What You’ll Do
Build electronic and/or mechanical subassemblies (modules, boards, panels, frames, cables) using work instructions and engineering drawings
Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble hardware as required
Perform continuity checks on work-in-process and completed assemblies
Support basic quality inspections in accordance with established specifications
Partner with engineers to improve processes and resolve quality issues
Maintain a clean work area and monitor material/equipment status (including expiration dates)
