Jacobs is seeking a Drinking Water Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at each of our two water treatment plant (WTP) facilities located in Jackson, MS.

You'll perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical associated with the water treatment plants and related facilities equipment.

You'll oversee day-to-day maintenance, repairs, new installations, and improvement projects associated with the WTP.

In this role, you'll be directly responsible for contributing to the asset management plan and contractual deliverables pertaining to facility maintenance and standards, as well as the maintenance and department performance for the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Planning, scheduling, and directing the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of specialized mechanical equipment, buildings, structures, and grounds.

* Assists project manager in department budgeting and estimating cost and time for all aspects of repairs or replacements.

* May perform duties of other department supervisors in their absence if required, including approving work assignments, scheduling shifts, preparing work schedule and other duties assigned.

* Reads, interprets, and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations.

Reviews drawings and equipment specifications as required for client improvement projects.

* Performs skilled mechanical repair work on water treatment plant equipment and related equipment.

* Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences.

Prepare detailed reports and proposals required to facilitate the duties of a maintenance supervisor.

* Provides on-the-job training to staff and provides direction as required to facilitate repairs when needed.

* Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical machinery or equipment as needed.

* Is proficient in the repair, maintenance and fabrication methods required of a supervisor.

* Performs other duties as required.

#OMFS #BIA #OurJacobs #BoldlyMovingForward #ChallengeAccepted Here's what you'll need * Possess a valid driver's license with no major infractions * Experience supervising or in a leadership position.

* Experience with general business management practices * Fleet management, experience with heavy equipment maintenance and operations.

* Experience with CMMS and the general practices and methods used to manage a large industrial system.

* Knowledge of computer software includes but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and to enter data into a computerized maintenance management system.

* Knowledge of safe work practices, supervisory training, and federal and state laws as they pertain to the water industry.

Ideally, You'll Also Have: * Trade school education with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical equipment and metal fabrication or college degree in a relatable field.

* Operate plant Process Logic Controller (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

* Knowledge of principles of supervision and training.

* Five+ (5) years of experience with knowledge of the principles, methods, tools, and materials employed in the general operations, maintenance and repair of advanced electrical and mechanical equipment and systems, including: vehicles, electric motors, generators, pumps, and related equipment associated with water/wastewater systems.

The base salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $8,000.00.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
