LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES - HOLLIS

Location: 188-03 Jamaica Avenue, Hollis, New York 11423

The Jamaica Hospital MediSys Family Care Center in Hollis, New York offers patients the following medical services: Family Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Prenatal Care (Obstetrics) and Podiatry

We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses with prior outpatient experience preferred, for immediate full-time day shift opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Selected candidates will administer care to patients of all ages, gender, and ailments.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

Documenting nursing observations, interventions, and patient's responses to treatment

Performing vital signs, administering medications, performing electrocardiograms, and assisting with scheduling appointments when needed.

Collecting specimens and performing phlebotomy for lab tests.

Collecting and performing Point of Care Testing (POCT).

Reviewing and maintaining vaccine documentation.

Requirements

Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Graduate of an accredited school for licensed practical nursing.

NYS Licensed Practical Nurse.

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Minimum of (1) year of clinical experience, in an ambulatory care setting preferred.

Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.

Must be available to work alternate weekends.
