Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, driven Engineering Supervisor with a strong background in machining or welding to lead and support our production and project engineering teams. This role requires someone who thrives in a manpower-driven environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and brings both technical and leadership skills to the table. The ideal candidate is not only experienced but also adaptable, open to learning, and committed to team success.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support daily engineering and technical operations on the shop floor
Provide leadership and direction to technicians, machinists, welders, and project engineers
Coordinate manpower resources and project schedules to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machining, welding, tooling, and fixtures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and safety
Ensure documentation, drawings, and work instructions are up-to-date and followed
Oversee continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes
Track and report on project progress, labor allocation, and engineering metrics
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning
Train and mentor team members to grow technical and professional skillsQualifications
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a machining or welding focus
2+ years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team lead role
Solid understanding of production processes, tooling, workholding, and industrial equipment
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task across shifting priorities and deadlines
Proficient in reading technical drawings, CAD, and blueprints
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable managing both people and process
Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a collaborative team environmentPreferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods
