Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee daily logistics operations, manage supply chain activities, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating transport, managing staff, and improving operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
Plan and optimise delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Coordinate with drivers, freight partners, and suppliers
Ensure compliance with UK transport regulations and company policies
Monitor stock levels and oversee inventory management
Prepare reports on performance, costs, and delivery timelines
Resolve operational issues and customer queries promptly
Lead and support logistics staff, including scheduling and performance management
Identify opportunities for process improvement and business growth
Requirements
Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Good knowledge of UK transport and logistics regulations
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems
Relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain, or business management (preferred but not essential)
