Olentangy Schools is seeking qualified candidates for a Principal, Elementary position(s) available at Liberty Tree Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. The principal provides educational leadership for the building; manage, administer and facilitate the daily operations, activities and events of the school; and improve student learning. Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible to hold valid and appropriate licensure for each position with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW).
Employment status: Administrative, 226-day employment contract
Qualifications for a principal position include:
Valid and appropriate Ohio certification/license
Master's degree in Educational Leadership and school administration from an accredited college or university
Five to ten years of successful classroom teaching and building administrative experience
Alternative to the above qualifications as the superintendent and/or board of education may find appropriate

NOTE: If you are an ESC employee, intern, off-staff advisor/coach, short- or long-term substitute, or student teacher you must apply as an external candidate.
External candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring) and complete an online Principal Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application. The online Principal Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled "Do Not Reply" with the subject "Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application". Keep in mind that the Principal Candidate Assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed within the designated time frame, and multiple attempts to complete the assessment are not permitted.
