Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers within local routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, including route driving, load & unload operations, and handling various types of freight. Duties

Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, across designated local routes

Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations

Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records

Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation of goods

Assist with route planning to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or issues during transit

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record

Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred

Proven experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable

Delivery driver experience including load & unload operations required

Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations

Ability to perform route driving efficiently within local areas

Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory

Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service

Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies
