Job Description:
We are looking to hire a self-motivated, accountable and driven outside sales professional to prospect, do on-site and remote demonstrations, close sales opportunities that they create, build their territory, participate in trade shows, exceed quota and manage existing accounts.
The outside sales representative's responsibilities and requirements include:
· Prospecting and lead generation — Identifying and researching potential new customers, generating leads, and developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
· Traveling to meet clients — Visiting current and prospective customers in person (often driving or flying to various locations), scheduling appointments, and conducting on-site meetings covering multiple states in the Northeast. (Overnight stays )
· The ability to lift and move heavy equipment. (Up to 100lbs.) for demonstrations
· Building and maintaining relationships — Establishing rapport, acting as a company ambassador, nurturing long-term client relationships, and managing a book of business (existing accounts) to encourage repeat purchases and create additional opportunities.
· Product demonstrations and presentations — Providing hands-on explanations, demos, and/or presentations of products/services, highlighting features, benefits, and value to address customer needs.
· Consulting and needs assessment — Discussing client requirements, understanding pain points/challenges, and recommending tailored solutions or proposals.
· Closing sales — Preparing and presenting quotes/proposals, handling objections, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales quotas/targets.
· Informing clients of updates — Keeping customers informed about new products, features, releases, pricing changes, or promotions.
· Market and competitor research — Gathering insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategy and development.
· Sales reporting and administration — Tracking activities, submitting regular reports (e.g., sales forecasts, expenses, CRM updates), and maintaining accurate records in CRM systems.
· Customer service and issue resolution — Addressing complaints, resolving problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction to support retention and referrals.
· Attending events — Participating in trade shows, industry events, or networking opportunities to generate leads and strengthen connections. (Some weekends are required).
· Understanding basics of Copy Print Scan is a plus
