CNC Technician

Overview Kadant Johnson is seeking a results-driven and hands-on colleague to join our manufacturing team as a CNC Technician - 2nd and 3rd Shift at our facility in Three Rivers, Michigan.

The CNC Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the CNC equipment to its optimum efficiency.

Responsibilities \nInspect quality of material entering the department and quality of parts being produced\nCooperate with other members of the CNC Manufacturing Department to improve quality and boost productivity\nMake sure all setup and programming information is correct and promptly inform Programmers of any corrections\nPerform duties assigned by the CNC Supervisor promptly and efficiently \nMaintains clean, neat work area to minimize accident and injury exposure\nConform to all part drawing tolerances, document first-piece inspection on print, and maintain cross checks as instructed.\nKeeps supervisor informed regarding operations of the department and any problems that arise\nSafety conscious and identifies areas to be improved upon\n Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma\nExperience operating or programming CNC machine tools preferred but not required\n\nAdditional Requirements\nTechnical Skills: Good basic knowledge of the standard practice, methods, materials, precision tools, shop math, trigonometry, CNC programming, personal computer operations, fixtures, and cutting tools used in a computerized manufacturing environment.
