Tool Maintenance Mechanic

We are currently looking a skilled and experienced Tool Maintenance Mechanic with expertise in injection molding systems to join our dynamic team.

You'll work alongside other Tool and Die Makers and engineers to support our tool and die needs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our advanced injection molding equipment and related systems and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency of mold and dies.Responsibilities and Duties\nPerform preventive maintenance on injection molding tools, Pneumatic systems, and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and Pneumatic issues in injection molding tools and related systems.\nExecute repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.\nConduct regular inspections of equipment and maintain detailed maintenance logs and records.\nCollaborate with production teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.\nImplement and maintain safety protocols and procedures in accordance with company policies and industry standards.\nProvide technical support and guidance to operators and other team members regarding equipment operation and maintenance.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.\nMonitor inventory levels of spare parts and consumables, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels.\nStay updated on the latest developments in injection molding technology and maintenance techniques.\nRespond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and perform necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.\nAssist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.\nCollaborate with external vendors and service providers when specialized expertise or support is required.\n\nRequirements\nPerform mold preventive maintenance fill out all check list required by Aptiv systems to ensure the quality of tool.

\nAssisting the manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous process improvements: Reduced Scrap, Increase OE, Reduced Cycle Time.\nknow how to use measurement equipment such as micrometers, high gage, dial indicator, profile projector, calipers, gage blocks, etc.\nPerform convectional machining such as surface grinding, lathe, milling and drilling.\nExtensive knowledge of injection molding tools, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.\nStrong proficiency in Tool maintenance, Pneumatic systems, including maintenance, repair, and optimization.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues.\nProficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.\nExperience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\nStrong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to stone and hone a sharp radius on tool steel.\nMust be able to communicate at all levels from shop floor operator to engineer.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nLift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 50 pounds.\nSit and/or stand at least 12 hours\nVision correctable to 20/30 or better\nDifferentiate color\nReach\nBend\nKneel\nTwist\nGrip\nPinch\nFine finger dexterity sufficient to handle metal parts with precision and accuracy\n\nQualifications \nHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in an injection molding environment.\nPerson should have background in mathematics, mechanical drawing, metallurgy and machine shop practices.\n\n#LI-PGPrivacy Notice - Active Candidates: is an equal employment opportunity employer.
