Team Mission
The TARS team builds the critical infrastructure that helps millions of travelers when plans change or things go wrong. The team operates across two major initiatives: flexibility tools that enable travelers to reschedule, modify or swap their bookings, and a live chat platform powered by an autonomous AI agent that handles complex traveler questions and requests at scale.
In 2026, the team is rebuilding the chat infrastructure from the ground up, creating a high-performance, scalable system that serves hundreds of thousands of daily conversations. This includes developing a custom chat UX for seamless pre-booking and post-booking support, pushing the boundaries of conversational AI.
We empower engineers with high autonomy to make decisions and act on them, balancing pragmatic and strategic tradeoffs daily. We navigate this rapidly evolving space together, and while we're driven by impact, having fun while building something great is equally important to us.
