Work with upper management to screen, recruit, and interview job applicants. Perform candidate searches using databases, Internet resources, networking, job fairs, and employee referrals. Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, and promotion opportunities. Support hiring processes by screening résumés, administering applicant tests, and scheduling interviews with hiring managers. Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements, and interview them to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills. Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resources records for employees, documenting hiring, job changes, transfers, terminations, and merit increases. Track employee leave balances, including vacation, sick, and personal time. Administer employee benefits programs, including medical insurance, student loan assistance, savings bonds, and disability benefits, by explaining options, assisting applicants, and verifying eligibility and documentation. Schedule and conduct new employee orientations by reviewing company policies, explaining benefits, gathering necessary payroll and tax documentation, and collecting required signatures. Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, standards, and employment regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
Background check required
Requires two years of experience as a Human Resources Coordinator or in a related role, performing recruiting, interviewing, and employee onboarding functions. Experience must include evaluating qualifications against job requirements, administering pre-employment assessments, managing employee records, administering benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws. Must also be able to interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment regulations.
Requires a U.S. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or a related field.
