COMMERCIAL DRIVER (The heart of our business)
Hourly Requirements: 35-40 hours per week, with the ability to increase hours as our business grows. Commercial routes begin between 4:00 am and 5:30 am, depending on the day, to avoid the day's heavy traffic.
REQUIREMENTS:
Drivers must have a clean driving record.
Must complete their route in an efficient and timely manner
Drivers must practice a professional, constructive, and positive work attitude.
Experience driving large vehicles is heavy-dutyimportant (we currently operate a heavy duty pickup truck with an easy-dump attachment on the back)
CDL NOT REQUIRED
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Comfortable maneuvering a large vehicle, even in tight downtown areas
Early riser. Commercial routes start at 5-6 AM
Responsible individual, comfortable working with relative autonomy and minimal oversight
Previous experience with Trash / Recycling collection is a plus
Love of exceptional customer service, and a natural sense of hustle
Detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, multitask, and react quickly to changing conditions
Willing and able to work outdoors in all elements (rain, heat, cold, etc.)
Committed to communicating regularly and constructively withthe dispatcher and team members

RESPONSIBILITIES (with Manager’s assistance):
Maintains a clean truck and washes the exterior monthly. Inspect and keep the hydraulic tipper greased. Lift the hood, inspect under the hood, walk around, and check fluid levels and tire pressure - use an air gauge and a dipstick for levels.
Using hydraulic tipping equipment to empty heavy rolling carts into a dump truck attachment
Servicing places like restaurants, offices, and cafeterias
Maneuvering tight Loading Zones & alleyways
Emptying collection receptacles and leaving the customer’s location clean and free of debris. Replace the compostable liner.
Operating collection vehicle in accordance with Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act), and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws
Cross Training with Residential Routes
Helping at the composting site occasionally to process raw food scraps into beautiful black gold.
