As Control Systems Lead Engineer you will be part of Controls, Accessories and Marine engineering section and you will have a lead role within the business. Your technical capability within controls system with a strong emphasis on applications will support you in control system design, development and validation to meet detailed customer needs.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Drive with high degree of autonomy the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Controls System by applying control theory and mathematical modeling

Define, develop and validate architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem level

Master control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors

Ensure adherence to GE’s development process including support for internal and ex ternal process audits

Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments

Proven ability to lead teams, mentor individuals and influence business approaches across stakeholders

Expertise in control systems engineering, systems integration and adjacent technical domains

Qualifications/Requirements

Master’s Degree in Engineering field or other STEM disciplines with experience in Control System design

Previous experience in an equivalent engineering position

Extensive experience in system design in highly complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical or aerospace sectors

Proven experience with system engineering principles, e.g. V-lifecycle process including requirements engineering, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Model-based Design (MBD) methods, tools, validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS, SCADE, Matlab/Simulink, Synergy, Python, NPSS, C++)

Understanding of engine and propeller controls principles

Fluency in Italian and English

Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

Strong oral and written communication skills

Good knowledge SAE ARP 4754A and DO-178C

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

Strong problem-solving approach and demonstrated ability to connect horizontally with other roles/functions

Documented exposure to the Aviation Regulation & Standard
