Queens Public Library, Tester, Senior
30 month contract

Selected Candidates are expected to work in the Queens office and Candidate must be able to work on-site or remote as scheduled by QPL
Day-to-Day Tasks
Organizational and project priorities will dictate how much Manual QA and QA Automation work is performed during a given time frame. Candidate must be prepared to do both.
Manual & Automated QA:
Solicit and review business and technical requirements
Write and maintain test scripts
Perform testing
Report and track defects
Provide work logs and status reports to reporting manager
Tester
Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.
Senior
60 - 84 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
Bachelor's Degree.
60 months experience working in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) environment. Experience must include both Agile and Waterfall methodology projects.
60 months experience reviewing, soliciting, and clarifying requirements from business representatives and project team members.
60 months experience writing, maintaining, and executing manual test scripts across browsers, devices, and operating systems.
60 months experience creating, managing, and maintaining test plans, test sets, and defect reporting processes in Client / Micro Focus ALM.
18 months experience automating test scripts for Kronos Workforce Central 8.1 using Selenium, Java, Javascript, and Test NG on Eclipse or IntellIJ platforms.
18 months experience testing Drupal/PHP web and mobile development that integrates with SirsiDynix Symphony WebServices 6.4.3, Overdrive, and other 3rd party APIs.
18 months experience working in a Public Library.
