Description We are looking for a dedicated Mailroom Associate to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio.
This role involves handling utility invoices and ensuring they align with established departmental and client procedures.
As part of a fast-paced production environment, you will play a key role in maintaining accuracy and efficiency while contributing to the overall success of the mailroom operations.
This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to grow in a collaborative setting.
Responsibilities: - Open and sort incoming mail, including utility invoices, checks, and inserts, following established sorting procedures.
- Prepare utility bills for scanning by organizing documents with separator sheets.
- Conduct thorough manual reviews of invoices to ensure compliance with department and client requirements.
- Identify and separate documents that fail to meet procedural standards, attaching reject forms for further review.
- Meet production quotas while working efficiently in a high-paced mailroom environment.
- Stay updated on new and revised departmental procedures, discarding outdated materials and incorporating changes into daily tasks.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on mail opening equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure attention to detail.
- Communicate challenges and propose solutions to supervisors to improve operations.
- Work overtime as required to meet deadlines and ensure timely processing of all accounts.
Requirements - Ability to lift mail trays and debris weighing up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Physical capability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements during mail sorting tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to excel in a fast-paced production environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet performance standards.
- Proven experience in maintaining accuracy while following detailed instructions.
- Familiarity with mailroom equipment troubleshooting and quality assurance processes.
- Commitment to ensuring compliance with departmental and client procedures.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet operational goals.
