#Hiring: UX Designer

Location: McLean, VA

Pay Rate: $75/hr

Schedule: Full-time On-site Contract

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced UX Designer to support the design and optimization of digital banking platforms, mobile apps, and public-facing websites.

This role focuses on creating secure, compliant, and user-friendly experiences for credit unions, banks, and fintech platforms. The ideal candidate combines design expertise, research-driven insight, and collaboration with product, technology, and compliance teams to deliver seamless digital member journeys.

Key Responsibilities

Design responsive websites and native mobile apps (iOS/Android)

Create user journeys for online banking, account onboarding, loan/credit card applications, payments, and digital servicing flows

Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions

Develop personas, user flows, information architecture, journey maps, and interactive prototypes

Maintain and scale design systems, including components and auto-layouts in Figma

Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.x, ADA, and regulatory standards

Collaborate with Product, Technology, Marketing, and Compliance teams

Apply design methodologies such as Design Thinking, UCD, and Double Diamond

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

10+ years of experience in UX design for financial services or fintech

Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and prototyping

Expertise designing for digital banking workflows and compliant financial experiences

Strong understanding of regulatory considerations and fraud prevention

Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
