Role Overview
We are looking for a Storage Support Engineer to support enterprise-scale storage environments for a large financial services client. This is a support-focused role involving incident management, customer/vendor interaction, and storage migrations using established runbooks.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 3 storage support (Banking L2 equivalent – external L3 support)
Own and resolve incident tickets within defined SLAs
Interact directly with customers, internal teams, and vendors for issue resolution
Support and facilitate storage migrations (file products) using existing runbooks
Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and remediation of block storage issues
Ensure operational stability and adherence to support processes
Must-Have Skills
Strong experience in Block Storage technologies (at least one required):
Dell PowerFlex
SolidFire
VMAX
3PAR SAN & Networking knowledge:
Brocade
Cisco Experience in:
Storage support operations
Incident management and ticket closure
Customer-facing and vendor coordination roles
Nice-to-Have
Experience in enterprise or banking environments
Exposure to structured migration activities
Familiarity with ITIL-based support processes
