Position Summary: The Distribution Requirements Planner is responsible for planning and managing finished-goods inventory across the distribution network.
This role converts demand plans into executable replenishment plans at the DC level, ensuring product availability while balancing inventory, cost, and operational constraints.
The DRP works closely with Planning, Logistics, and Customer teams to anticipate risks, align supply with demand, and support consistent service performance as the network evolves.
Core Responsibilities: Replenishment, Inventory & Network FlowBuild and manage DC-level replenishment plans based on demand forecasts, inventory targets, and logistics constraintsSet and maintain safety stock, min/max, and reorder parameters by DCMonitor inventory daily and take action on shortages, excess, and aging inventoryRebalance inventory across DCs and execute inter-DC transfers to protect service and reduce wasteAlign replenishment timing with transportation capacity, lead times, and load optimization opportunities Cross-Functional ExecutionPartner with Supply Planning to understand forecast changes, promotions, and supply riskCoordinate with Manufacturing, co-packers, Logistics, and DC Operations to align supply plans with warehouse and transportation capacityFlag service or execution risks early and recommend clear mitigation and recovery actionsSupport customer supply teams with allocation decisions and service issue resolutionSupport peak and seasonal planning to ensure network readiness Continuous ImprovementHelp design and improve DRP and logistics planning processes as the network growsIdentify opportunities to improve inventory positioning, flow efficiency, and service performance Primary Requirements: 2-5 years of experience in distribution planning, logistics, or inventory managementExperience in CPG, food & beverage, or consumer goodsStrong Excel skills and comfort working with imperfect dataExperience w/Kinaxis and/or MS Business Central preferredAbility to prioritize, make judgment calls, and move fastBachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, or business-related field.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external suppliers.
