Job Description Summary

Position Objective:

The Manager, Customer Safety Trainer is primarily responsible for recruiting, coaching and supervising field safety trainers to ensure optimal productivity, and for growing safety training revenue and operating margins for their assigned coverage areas in line with the Strategic Plan.

PositionResponsibilities:

District SafetyTrainer (DST)ManagementResponsibilities:

Coach trainershow tooptimizetheirproductivityto include maximizing class sizes, and scheduling classes in a way that minimizes downtimeand achieving,or exceeding,theirmonthly revenuetarget.This will involve using reports, analytics, and observations todetermineareasof opportunities.

Lead and support DSTs in expanding their technical and instructional skillsets across a wider range of equipment and course types to continually strengthen market training performance.

EnsureDSTscomplywithSOPs andpoliciesand procedures(e.g.invoicingcustomersonatimelybasis, storingstudent documents, etc.)

Monitor DST training schedulesinthe training platform (LMS) toensurethereisa minimumofa3-month rollingschedule ofsessionsofferedtocustomers.AuditDSTpaperworkto ensure formsarecompleted correctly,andthey arestored inthe LMS.

Determineandmonitornewmarkets that may need,and can support,afull-timetrainerbased on customerdemandandfuturejobstarts.

Leadthetrainerrecruitment andtrainer onboarding processes.Ensurequalified candidates are hired and providecoaching sessions to quicklyoptimizethe effectiveness of new trainers.

Work with branch managers to actively recruitbranchtrainersandCustomerEvaluators (CEs). Coach and mentorbranchcontributorsand provide on-going supportto ensure engagement.Identifynon-participatingCEsandengage them in theprogram.

If certified, conduct equipment operator certification and general safety training for customersto augmentDSTstaffingas needed.Maintain current equipmentoperatorand other related certifications.

FinancialResponsibilities

Support the development of the annual budget forthe assigned coverage area.

Monitor achievement to budget,determinetheroot cause of negativevariations,and take corrective actionsas needed.

Seek opportunities toprofitablygrow the businessto includepartneringwithlocalindustrygroupchapters,DSTcoverageareaexpansionandoptimization,upselling/cross-selling,etc.

SalesResponsibilities

Work with the National and Strategic Account teams to sell training to customers, missioncriticaland mega projects.

Attend sales meetings to promotethe trainingproductoffering anddiscuss new products and other updates to our program.Trainthe salesteamshow to sell safety training.

Create aculture ofintegrationbyclosely collaboratingwithdistrict, regional, and territorial salesleadership.

Bachelor's degreeor equivalent

Demonstrated leadershipand supervisoryskills

Understanding of a Pro
