What you'll do:
As part of the Office of Information Technology (OIT), Enterprise Shared Solutions Security & Infrastructure Operations team, manage ESS IT systems and infrastructure to align with business goals, focusing on security, monitoring, incident and problem management, work with and support ESS Security & Infrastructure Operations Architects, work cross-functionally with OISP, IOP and ISD.
Monitor system performance, load, and security metrics
Identify and resolve operational and security-related issues
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system backups, patches, and updates
Respond rapidly to incidents and outages to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide 24x7 support when applicable
Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements and policies
Participate in the resolution of security incidents
Develop content strategy, conduct SEO, edit content, and analyze user metrics
Collaborate closely with other IT teams to ensure secure and efficient operations
Report on metrics and provide proposals for improvement to stakeholders
Manage relationships with third-party service providers
Participate in infrastructure projects
Contribute to project planning
Recommend infrastructure solutions and enhancements to support business requirements
Stay current with emerging trends, new technologies, and industry best practices
Minimum Qualifications:
48 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
