What you'll do as an Information Technologist 1:
Provides support & service to information system users on a computer or telecommunication network running stand-alone, client/server, web-based, &/or networked environment using established methods & procedures.
Install & verify microphone systems, video walls, TVs & other technology to ensure full operational readiness for all meetings & events.
Manage equipment sign-out (PowerPoint Slide Advancer (clicker), HDMI cables, USB cables); Monitor inventory, ensure availability of accessories & replenishing supplies as needed.
Update & monitor PCs in meeting rooms & computer labs; Inspect cabling (HDMI, XLR, XLR Female to  Inch TS Male for microphone systems, electrical strips, USB, USB extenders, etc.) to maintain optimal performance.
Provide technical support for Conference Center displays & media events, including configuring lobby monitors & managing audio/visual equipment such as lapel microphones, handheld devices & related technology in the Atrium, Media Room & Room 1110 (Stickrath Room).
Provides installation & monitoring support to IT specialists (e.g., unpacks, stages &/or racks hardware, performs set-up & installation for hardware &/or software; network connectivity, learns & changes application coding specifications, installs telecommunications hardware & wiring, monitors systems & notifies higher-level staff of any concerns).

Option 1:
6 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: computers &/or electronics and/or in telecommunications performing routine analysis, programming, installation, maintenance and/or systems support, solving problems with pre-determined methods on basic hardware or software including experience providing customer support.
Option 2:
-Or 2 courses in computer science or information systems.
-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
Job Skills: Information Technology
