SummaryAs part of the Advanced Manufacturing and Repair organization, the Lifecycle Engineering (LCE) Lead Engineer is responsible for supporting the RVS Service Centers located in Asia region. This person will work to deliver NCR support & reduction, qualification support (Non-NPI), RCA support, quality audits & BIQ support, REI maintenance, Kaizen support and Supply Chain Development work. In this role, coordination with the Repair Value Stream teams is required to ensure quality repairs for contractual and transactional services fulfilment and growth.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Deliver Non-Conformance Report (NCR) closure with quality in quickest respond time.

• Lead projects to reduce quantities of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) raise.

• Support shop’s Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Build-in-Quality (BIQ).

• Support non-NPI qualifications of process or product repair.

• Own the maintenance and updates of the Repair Engineering Instructions (REI) repair documents.

• Support build idea pipeline to feed Productivity Cost-Out (PCO) projects.

• Improve quality, delivery, and cost of GE Vernova products within team’s scope

• Implement lean methodologies including standard work, standard product, and kaizen

• Share best practices and lessons learned with AMRT (Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology) engineers globally to drive consistency and continuous improvement.

• Perform process/ product audits to identify any non-conformances to qualification requirement standard.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related

engineering field of study from an accredited college or university

• Travel to repair centers, customer sites, and other locations as needed globally (~10%)

Desired Characteristics

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/industry Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing,

services, repair, or design environment

• Lean training or equivalent quality training

• Strong mechanical design and analytical background

• Ability and established track record to drive projects to completion

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
