As we continue to expand, we're looking for a skilled Controller to help strengthen our financial operations and support sustainable growth.

Position Overview

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and financial insights that support operational and strategic decisions. This role works closely with ownership and project management to improve profitability and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, general ledger, and job costing

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections

Monitor project costs and margins; provide insights on job profitability

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, licensing, and financial reporting requirements

Coordinate with external accountants, tax professionals, and auditors

Develop and maintain internal controls and financial processes

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to ownership

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required)

5+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in construction or remodeling

Strong knowledge of job costing and construction accounting

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
