Our commercial product portfolio includes market-leading vaccines against smallpox, mpox, rabies, tick-borne encephalitis, typhoid fever, cholera, and chikungunya. We excel in R&D innovation, manufacturing, and commercialization, striving to improve health and quality of life for people worldwide, protecting our tomorrow. Join us in our mission to make a difference.
The role
We are seeking a Global Process Manager to act as a functional expert and lead the building of the future-state (to-be) Source-to-Pay (S2P) process, aligning it with industry’s best practices and ERP capabilities while ensuring the specific needs of the business units are fully incorporated. This role is critical for driving the next phase of our enterprise transformation journey at Bavarian Nordic. We are evolving from a finance-focused system to a unified ERP platform covering end-to-end business processes. Over the past 18 months, we established a dedicated Supply Chain & Strategy organization including Global Procurement and built a cross-functional Digital Transformation function that connects IT, business operations, and external partners.
As our Global Process Manager, S2P, you will ensure efficient, compliant, and well-executed S2P operations across sourcing, contract management, transactional procurement, supplier lifecycle management, and invoice processing. This role focuses on practical implementation, operational execution, and ERP alignment, supporting business units while applying processes effectively.
The position reports to our Head of Global Procurement with a dotted line to Head of Digital Transformation. The position can either be located out of Denmark or Germany.
Key responsibilities
Serve as the subject-matter expert for all S2P components, support building and translate global processes into practical guidance
Configure, test, and support Microsoft Dynamics ERP workflows for procurement and accounts payable processes
Maintain master data accuracy, workflow controls, and ERP system compliance
Identify process inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with business and IT
Train, coach, and support end-users on processes and ERP functionality
Monitor KPIs (PO compliance, cycle times, invoice automation, exceptions) and propose corrective actions
Ensure operational adherence to policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
What you bring
You have hands on experience working with ERP systems (we use D365), and demonstrate strong stakeholder management, problem solving, and analytical capabilities. Experience from regulated industries—such as pharma, biotech, or medical devices—is a strong advantage. You may also have certifications in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, BPM) and familiarity with automation tools, eProcurement solutions, or supplier portals. Besides this, you have;
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field
5–10 years of experience within Source to Pay operations
Solid expertise across sourcing, contract management, transactional procurement, supplier lifecycle management, and invoice processing
Why this role
This is a unique time to join Bavarian Nordic; as we continue our professionalization of our Procurement function, you will – together with other Process Managers, be the guardian of “how work gets done” across ERP and supply chain — end-to-end, cross-functionally, and at scale.
The role will initially focus on the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process within an ERP evolution program. Over time and subject to organizational priorities and performance, the scope is expected to expand to Source-to-Contract, SRM, Category Management, and Automation and AI initiatives within procurement.
