1. Design and develop fixed point Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithm and software for the wireless link.
2. Perform Doppler and delay estimation to meet system requirements.
3. Create algorithms to process, manage and analyze link budgets and implement compensation algorithms at air interface and physical layer.
4. Analyze link budgets and Physical Layer impairments using MATLAB.
5. Design, implement, and test physical layer receiver and/or transmitter on software-defined radio platforms.
6. Write software in C/C++ or other languages in a Linux environment.
7. Design and evaluate SP algorithms for satellite gateway modems.
8. Update or create host interface software to interact with Software Defined Radios (SDRs).
9. Develop test software and drivers using tools including NI LabView, Python, and MySQL to support unit integration, and system testing of software and hardware functions.
10. Perform and maintain documentation and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
11. Work with other software team members to benchmark payload software applications.
12. Test and validate both in simulation and on target environments using TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Jupyter Notebook.
13. Develop modem test automation and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
14. Conduct testing in both the lab and the field, including performance characterization, debug testing, and formal verification testing using various lab instruments, including Modem Performance and Verification testing using Arbitrary Waveform Generator and Vector Signal Analyzer to verify the system is functioning as designed, and documenting test results.
Requires two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include:
a. Use of C/C++ and MATLAB
b. Fixed-Point DSP Algorithm and Satellite Gateway Modem
c. Conducting performance characterization, debug testing, and formal verification testing using various lab instruments including Modem Performance and Verification Testing using Arbitrary Waveform Generator, and Vector Signal Analyzer

Requires a Master's Degree (or foreign educ. Equiv.) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
