About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Software Tester to join our team on a one-year temporary contract. This role is essential for maintaining software quality and ensuring smooth deployments. You will be the first point of contact for debugging issues, coordinating releases, and improving documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Follow On-Call Runbooks: Execute predefined operational procedures during on-call shifts.

Initial Debugging: Perform first-pass troubleshooting before escalating to engineering teams.

Identify Documentation Gaps: Review technical documentation and highlight missing or unclear details.

Coordinate Deployments: Prepare and manage weekly deployments of images and feature releases.

Escalate Issues: Report and escalate software malfunctions and defects to the engineering team promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in software testing or QA roles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with deployment processes and version control systems.

Ability to follow structured runbooks and document findings clearly.

Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Preferred Skills

Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash).

Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud environments.

Understanding of incident management processes
