The Ohio Department of Taxation is seeking to fill two (2) Information Technologist 2 position in the Information Services Division.

This position is for current Taxation employees.

What You’ll do as an Information Technologist 2:

Provides support and service to information system users, performing routine analysis to resolve problems for applications running in stand-alone, web-based, or networked environments.

Generates enhancements for existing infrastructure or software by performing basic programming, writing standard queries, and creating or modifying program modules under immediate supervision.

Writes and executes test cases or scripts to verify unit and system results, while also maintaining platform-specific documentation and entering meta-data into repositories.

Promotes system security by adhering to agency and state IT security policies, while maintaining working knowledge of operating systems, network standards, and IT principles.

18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: computers and/or telecommunications software/hardware, applications, support products, projects or databases for small scale systems or programs or pieces of larger systems or programs including 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
