This position supports the FFMPI Interim Director and the OSU Extension Farm Office Team in managing the Ohio Farm Transition Network (OFTN) by contributing to a wide range of outreach, communication, and organizational activities. The role plays an integral part in advancing farm transition and estate planning education across Ohio by assisting with program marketing, registration management, participant communication, material preparation, and on site logistics for outreach events. It maintains key operational systems, including databases of OFTN members and agricultural professionals, ensuring accurate records, contact lists, evaluation data, and program metrics. The position also compiles evaluation summaries and helps prepare reports used for internal planning, grant compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Additional responsibilities include monitoring engagement trends across webinars, on-line courses, and other outreach efforts to support continuous program improvement; maintaining on-line resources such as the Farm Office Law Library and related digital materials; and contributing to communication efforts through newsletters, email updates, website content, and promotional materials. Serving as a primary point of contact, the role provides support to network members, partner organizations, and farm families seeking transition planning information, while also helping coordinate efforts with OSU Extension teams, agricultural organizations, and statewide partners involved in transition education.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 4 years of relevant experience required. 6 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
