Job Title: Java Technical Lead
Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)
Duration: 3-6 Months (Contract to Hire)
Job Type: W2 Contract to Hire

As a Tech Lead, you will guide development teams, collaborate with cross functional partners, and lead the design and implementation of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, API development, and SQL. You will also play a key role in modernizing legacy platforms, integrating with enterprise systems, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and security standards. In addition, this role requires providing production support as needed, ensuring system stability, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement of our applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzes, designs, and develops systems based upon user specifications.
Provide advanced technical expertise in solving hardware or software problems.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of modern development tools, frameworks, and engineering best practices for system design, development, and support.
Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and engineering methodologies relevant to Huntington’s technology stack.
Mentor and coach junior developers; contribute to skill development and team capability building.
Lead medium to large-scale projects, providing technical direction and ensuring high quality delivery.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
6+ years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related work experience may be considered.
Hands-on with Java and SpringBoot, API and SQL query (Enterprise Edition)
Hands-on GCP/AWS/Azure
Preferred Qualifications:
8 + YOE preferred
Hands-on GCP (EE)
Microsoft Office experience
Experience working in multi-platform environment
Ability to balance both development and support roles
Experience in working on projects that involve business segments
Strong analytical, strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups
