Location: Onsite in Madison, WI
Salary: $85-140k DOE
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and controls solutions. This role requires expertise in ControlLogix and a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automation control systems using ControlLogix.
Develop and maintain control software for PLCs, HMIs, and robotics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions.
Conduct troubleshooting and debugging of control systems to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards such as NEC, NFPA79, and UL 508A.
Prepare detailed documentation for control systems including schematics, programming, and user manuals.
Provide technical support and training to end-users on automation systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience with PLC and HMI programming using Allen-Bradley and Rockwell.
Programming with ControlLogix, or Ladder Logic required.
Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical for control system design.
Familiarity with robotics systems, specifically ABB and Fanuc.
Understanding of motion control systems and Ignition software.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA79, UL 508A, or ANSI/RIA R15.06 standards preferred.
