Apply to join our team./ph3Position Summary:/h3pWe are looking for a Software Development Technical Leader (Tech Lead) with expertise in C and C++ to lead one of our development teams in crafting high-performance software solutions.
This role involves guiding the development process, designing robust architectures, developing prototypes, analyzing existing software artifacts and leading customer engagements.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in full software lifecycle development, the ability analyze source code and mentor others on the construction process./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliLead software development projects from conception to deployment, focusing on C and C++ programming languages./liliMentor junior team members in the construction of software applications, integration of numerous components, analysis, and testing./liliCreate prototypes to explore new technologies and solutions, quickly turning concepts into viable products./liliSpearhead customer engagements to gather requirements, provide technical consultations, and ensure alignment with business goals./liliMentor and lead a team of developers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation./liliUtilize static analysis tools to identify and rectify security vulnerabilities and code quality issues before deployment./liliMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices./li/ulh3Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:/h3ulliBS with 10 years experience, MS with 8 years experience or PhD with 5 years experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with professional experience as a software developer, software engineer, verification engineer in a collaborative team environment./liliProven experience in designing and implementing complex software architectures and systems.
The ability to identify, analyze, develop architecture drivers, tradeoffs, and extensibility is a must./liliProficiency in the C, C++ software development languages./liliProficiency in Python for developing analytics and analyzing data./liliExperience with developing embedded software, performance tests and interpreting the results./liliExperience with static analysis tools and techniques for improving code quality and security./liliDemonstrated ability to lead development projects and engage with customers technically./liliExcellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset./liliWillingness to work with members of the US Military and other customers to achieve mission success./liliYou are willing to work 100% of your week onsite at either an SEI or customer facility./liliFlexible to travel to other SEI offices, sponsor sites, conferences, and offsite meetings on occasion.
