Senior Devops Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior / Lead DevOps Engineer (Contract) to build, secure, and deploy enterprise-grade applications across Node.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, and Spring Boot. You will lead CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure via AWS CDK, and cloud security ( IAM roles & policies) while ensuring reliable, scalable, and compliant deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Own and optimise CI/CD pipelines for full-stack applications

Design and maintain application build scripts (npm/yarn, Angular CLI, Webpack/Vite, Maven/Gradle)

Build and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript/JavaScript)

Develop reusable CDK constructs for VPC, ALB/NLB, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB

Architect and enforce IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access

Secure pipelines using Secrets Manager / Parameter Store

Containerize and deploy applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS)

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

Ensure high availability, cost optimization, and zero-downtime deployments

Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams on best practices

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years as a DevOps / Platform Engineer

Hands-on experience with Node.js, AngularJS, ReactJS, Spring Boot

Expert in AWS CDK and cloud infrastructure automation

Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM roles, policies, and trust relationships

CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline)

Linux, Bash/Python scripting, and automation skills

Understanding of cloud networking, security, and monitoring

Preferred Education & Certifications

M.S. in Computer Science or relevant academic degree

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (Preferred)

AWS Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional

Azure DevOps Engineer Expert / Azure Solutions Architect (Plus)

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (Optional but advantageous)

Nice to Have

DevSecOps experience (SAST, DAST, container scanning)

Terraform experience alongside CDK

Multi-account or multi-cloud experience

Serverless architectures (Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Functions)
