About the Role:

The Plumber role in Guam is centered on installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems to ensure safe and efficient water supply and waste disposal for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This position requires a thorough understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents accurately. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing plumbing issues, performing routine maintenance, and executing complex installations using a variety of tools and materials, including stainless steel components. Effective communication and documentation skills are essential for writing routine reports and correspondence related to work performed and materials used. Ultimately, this role contributes to the health, safety, and comfort of the community by ensuring reliable plumbing infrastructure and compliance with all relevant standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Knowledge of safety rules and regulations related to plumbing work.

Proficiency in using power tools and performing basic carpentry tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with stainless steel plumbing systems.

Familiarity with writing detailed routine reports and correspondence.

Additional certifications in specialized plumbing systems or safety training.

Prior experience working in Guam or similar island environments.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with local codes and safety standards.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and operating instructions to plan and execute plumbing tasks accurately.

Use power tools and carpentry skills to modify structures and install plumbing components as needed.

Write routine reports and correspondence documenting work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during service calls.

Adhere strictly to safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
