**THE OPPORTUNITY** As the Observability Intern, you will have an opportunity to learn how logs, metrics, and traces generated by diverse systems allow us to paint a picture of how technology is running.

We will take multiple datasets and create visualizations to tell a story about what is going on with each piece of software.

Alerts will also be created to notify respective teams early that an issue is present.

You will also gain exposure to other facets of the business outside of IT, such as finance and operations.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO** + Create visualizations and dashboards based onmultiple datasets based on business consumer needs + Optimizequeries of log data to decrease search time and improve performance + Create andmodifyalerts based on requirements defined by engineers + Strong candidates are motivated by what they can achieve, growth they could experience and how they willimpactthe company + Collaborate with team members to helpmonitorand maintain stability in environments + Implement changes with guidance from Observability Engineers using sound testing procedures, capacity planning, communication, training, documentation, and impact analysis + Leveragelog analysis tools todetermineand fix issues in our production environments + Executeprojects within the IT Project Guidelines and ensuring adherence to the project approval/prioritization process and related documentation + Maintain andadhere topolicies and procedures for corporate, restaurant, and mobile systems asdeemednecessary by IT Leadership **WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE** + Pursuing a B.A./B.S.

degree with a focus on computer science, mathematics, and business + Familiarity with Windows Operating system and how logs are generated + Experiencewith Kubernetes/containerization + Understanding of how databases function and ability to write queries to retrieve data + Capabilitytocreate and solve complex mathematical story problems + Understanding of calculus and statistics + Python scripting experience + Previousexperience working in a restaurantand interacting with POS technologyis a plus **PAY TRANSPARENCY** Pay rate is $25 per hour, depending on skill level, experience, and/ or education.

Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
